Your suite server would be happy to take your order the day of your event. A more varied menu is available but requires 48 hours’ notice, your server would be happy to provide a copy of the more extensive menu to you
Alcohol Service
At the South Okanagan Events Centre, we encourage the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages in moderation. Alcohol that has been purchased but remains unopened during an event may be restocked into a par bar. Alcohol may not be brought in or removed from the South Okanagan Events Centre, without proper prior written consent from Ovations Food Services
About the Executive Chef
Gerard Patrick Martin, Executive Chef, with the “Ovations Catering”- at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre/South Okanagan Events Center- and comes to the Okanagan Valley highly qualified.

Gerard Martin is a 4th. Generation Chef, who was born in Liverpool, England and moved to Keswick, Ontario when he was 9 years old, and started cooking professionally at the age of 14. He graduated with Honours from the Culinary Program at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario and was a Member of the Canadian Culinary Team. He has been trained in Classical French, Italian and Asian Cuisine and he holds a Red Seal Trade Certificate.
In Ontario, Gerard Apprenticed at the Briars Resort in Jackson’s Point and the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-On-The-Lake. He was a Saucier at the Toronto Airport Hilton Hotel, a Sous Chef at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville and the Executive Chef/Owner of “Chefs with Thyme” Catering and Consulting in Barrie.
In Alberta Gerard worked as a Sous Chef at the Rimrock Resort & Spa in Banff and also as the Executive Chef, at the Camrose Resort and Casino.
He is married to Holly (Paterson) Martin and they have two sons Owen and Dylan.
His Interest and Hobbies are: Wine Pairing with Gourmet Food. He is an avid Soccer Fan and enjoys his Guitar, Reading and Golfing.
