The $23.3 million Penticton Community Centre expansion project, funded by the Federal and Provincial governments and the City of Penticton, was completed on time and on budget.

The project included a new main pool, leisure pool (with new play features like the bubble pit, waterslide, lazy river and spray features), whirl pool, a larger and relocated fitness room, new change rooms (including a family change room), a state of the art pool filtration system and energy efficiency upgrades for the building.

Other facility amenities include a gymnasium, childminding room, meeting rooms, and theatre. These are augmented by a seasonal recreation guide (spring/summer, fall and winter) with a wide range of recreation programs for preschoolers, children, youth and adults.
