General Walking Track Guidelines as follows:
Entering the Building
The walking track patrons will enter the building through Gate 1. At the top of Gate 1, there will be a table and chairs to allow for rest/gathering of the SOEC Striders. During the winter there will be an area where they can change their shoes.
The patrons are asked to sign in at Guest Services. There will be sheets at Guest Services that will be used for Sign In and Sign Out purposes as well as allowing the patrons to track their progress. The primary function of this record is to enable the SOEC Staff to account for all SOEC Striders in the event of a building evacuation.
Distance of Track
A single lap of the walking track is .27 km. Four laps will give you just over 1 kilometer (1.08km). Six laps of the concourse will give you a mile.
There are washrooms available for use on the South end of the concourse. All other washrooms will be locked during the day. There is water available at the Valley First Guest Services. If the water jug is empty, please contact the Administration Office at Gate 1. There is a phone that can be used for local calls at the Guest Services desk. To make local calls, dial 9 to get an outside line and then the local number.
In the event of an emergency, please call 911 by dialing 9-9-1-1. The street address is 853 Eckhardt Avenue West. Direct the emergency personnel to enter the building through Gate 1.
